Case study
Rebuilding a regional freight operator's dispatch system into a real-time web platform.
Project overview
Northline Freight coordinates delivery routes across three provinces. Dispatch ran on a shared spreadsheet and phone calls — workable at ten trucks, not at eighty. They needed a platform their dispatch team and drivers could both rely on in real time.
The challenge
Dispatch changes weren't reaching drivers until their next phone check-in, causing missed pickups and double-booked routes. Any new system had to work offline in low-signal areas and sync the moment connectivity returned.
The solution & tech stack
We built a single dispatch web application with an offline-first driver view — route assignment, live status updates, and conflict resolution all handled within the app, so it keeps working when a truck loses signal and catches up the moment it's back.
